Please note our new web site: probusbasingstoke.wordpress.com
The first Probus Club was founded in 1965 in Caterham Surrey for retired or semi-retired local professional and business men (hence the name Probus) to provide opportunities for fellowship amongst members by holding luncheons, meetings and other social gatherings. Today there are over 4000 clubs worldwide with more than 300,000 members of which 180,000 are in the United Kingdom.
The Probus Club of Basingstoke was formed in 1979 and today has a membership around 50 from a wide variety of backgrounds.
We meet on the second Tuesday of most months for lunch, preceded by a speaker, at Test Valley Golf Club, Micheldever Road, Overton, RG25 3DS (between Overton and Micheldever). There are social occasions and trips throughout the year when wives/partners are invited.
